Did Fallschirmjaeger units have Italian camo in Normandie? Ive seen them with it in Italy. I only have a photo of Ramke himself with a hat made from it.

THe italian camo question is a good one. I would imagine if you had it in your kit leftover you might wear it.

But are there photos in use in Normandie, since we base our impressions on photos and documentation. I cant recall seeing Fallschirmjaeger in that campaign with it, which is why Im asking if anyone else has photos of it in use, not the what if's that plague our hobby.

www.ig-fallschirmpioniere.de/fotos/fotos.htmlHere is our gallery. To the Italian Camo question: I never saw any pic with Fallschirmjäger wearing Italian Camo in the Normandy. Until I see one I say: No, they weren´t used there.

Hello, I've yet to see an original photo of Italian camo trousers on an FJ in Normandy in 1944.
My suggestion is: drop them along with those horribly over-represented camo caps.
best regards, FJR6

Pietje - great photos! I really like the early war look
Sorry to nit-pick, and Please correct me if I'm wrong, but weren't the polka dot neck scarves more of a later war accessory?
