Hey everybody, my name Is Chris, I live in Clayton Delaware. I used to be in hobby about 10 years ago but got out due to family problems. Now I'm ready to get back into it. My only question is this, I'm 41 years old, do you guys believe that is too old? I'm open to any and all suggestions or criticisms. The unit I was in before was HHC 2/506th PIR out of MD. I currently do not own any of my prior kit, nothing, I sold it all like a jack ass when I got out of the hobby before. I would really like to get into an infantry unit, not necessarily a PIR, "leg" infantry will work too. I was active duty Army Infantry in real life from 95-02, so I do have knowledge of how an infantry unit works and acts in combat.
Again thank you for your time in reading this post, and I hope to hear some suggestions and or criticisms really, really soon. Also any units looking for recruits, let me know.
Thanks again,
Chris Birely

Same here 43, we have members in their 60's and our Veteran just turned 87. Age is not a difference.

Let's all be honest, if we are out of our 30s, then we should not be portraying a combat infantryman. STOP!! Don't go off on the rant "but there was this one guy in the one division who was 42!" Yeah, we all know there were a few older guys that were in foxholes. Ours is (or SHOULD be) a hobby of averages. So, that being said the AVERAGE infantryman wasn't 50! Do I care? Nope. Luckily, I can pass for much younger than 50. On top of that, if we got rid of all the reenactors that were over 30, were overweight, etc. we wouldn't have a hobby!
So, Chris, go out, have fun and do the best job you can do to portray the unit you are in accurately.
