Good day everyone, I represent The Citadel Military Living History Society. Last year, the club established a World War 2 section of the club as a collection of Citadel alumni who fought during World War 2. Despite this, we've only found a small number of events focused around Charleston SC. Another problem we have is that we are restricted to campus most of the week so we cannot travel long distances for events either. We've been as far down as Atlanta for Peachtree's WW2 weekend, but that was a bit of a stretch for us. Overall we are searching for events to get us out in the field more and get some dirt on our boots. The closer to Charleston, the better. Thank you very much.

Check out Camp Toccoa at Currahee Project and Currahee Military Weekend. The web site is www.camptoccoaatcurrahee.com. We just finished our D-Day weekend. We had a banquet, silent auction and a great speaker Friday night and we had over 200 runners Saturday morning run the Mountian. One group of cadets from Eglin Air Force Base in Fl, brought there rubber landing boat and took it up the mountain on their shoulders. There were about 15 of them, so they could swap out, but it was still quite impressive. Come to the North Georgia Mountains and check us out.
