Hey Guys –
My name is Adam Santiago. I'm a senior filmmaking student at the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee who currently resides in the city of Chicago. I am currently in the process of producing my senior thesis film, Rauch (German for Smoke) – a short film set in a Western European forest during WWII. The reason that I am posting this is that I would love to work with some WWII Reenactors to ensure our film upholds the historical authenticity required of a period film.
Right now the film is currently in development, with a planned shooting date of April 2016. We’re looking for uniforms and the gear that accompanies them, as well as weapons for one American field soldier, one German field soldier and a German officer. I would love to borrow and/or rent these items and I'm not quite sure where to start. These items would be protected by our production insurance. We have assembled a great team of filmmakers who have worked on several top-notch productions that have seen a fair amount of success on a national scale ensuring that our film is of the highest-caliber and eligible for many worldwide film festivals. We’re also working with World War II History Graduates to keep historical accuracy front and center. Previous work can be viewed HERE and HERE.
In return for any contributions to the film, we can offer on-screen credits (as well as IMDBI credits) and copious amounts of thanks on our Kickstarter page, our Facebook page and our Website. If you are unable to contribute any gear and would be open to offering guidance for our production, that would also be most welcome.
If the group is interested in sponsoring our film, please contact me at your earliest convenience – either via PM here or by e-mail at thelightbright@gmail.com.
Thanks for your time.
