Has anyone purchased reproduction US GI boots from Hessen Antique?

Yeah I just got my US GI rough outs and they look pretty decent. They look like others I've seen, but I am no expert.

While I cannot vouch for Hessen's work, I DO know that the best boots I own are all WWII Impressions. Yes, they are more expensive, but it's a clear case of "you get what you pay for." If you plan on reenacting for a lot of years, do yourself a favor, save the money and buy the WWII Impressions boots. You won't ever need another pair.

I can't agree w/ Matt enough. My WWII Imp roughouts are in their 5th year. Will need a 2nd set of heel replacements this Fall, but nearly a daily wearer. Comfortable as can be and holding up better than any other repro mfg out there.
