like I have said I am new to WW2 reenacting but have done CW and know that I is important to have the correct things including period pocket contents IE. no bic lighters lol I know the simple things like Zippos and such but what else would be period correct to have and be useful? I am not going to be the one walking around an event with a digital watch on.

Period looking handkerchief, a period pocket knife and a bottle opener always come in handy.

You're welcome. Is that a good thing? Check out the Humber LRC link if you have a moment.

a bottle opener always come in handy. Ditch the bottle opener idea, and just use a good ol' G.I. spoon to open up the bottles.

Comb, pencil, notepad, religious medal or other lucky charm, sewing kit or at least a couple of safety pins(pinned under a pocket flap is handy) spare laces, rubber band, book of matches, bit of string..
