I am getting my son whos 10 years old in to the business of reenacting, well sort of. I would like for him to have like a orphan setup any ideas of where to start looking for clothes that would work for that setup.... if you have any links and or suggestions please let me know... thank you... I thought boy scouts but that did not turn out to well....

I thought boy scouts but that did not turn out to well.... I think boy scout would be a great impression for living histories. You could make up scrap drive signs and get some scrap iron for the display. They were very involved on the home front other than scrap drives. They look great in the vehicles at parades and is what I did with my son. For tactical work, consult event rules and or talk to event cordinators. Whatever you do, don't surprise them day of event with you own ideas. You may not like the out come.
