Well I had thought I had seen some odd things being passed off on reenactors, but this was a new one on me. I was over on gunboards and found these: Replica WW2 Soviet SVT40 Carbine made out of an SKS Auction # 138170409 and the capper for me; DIVA Arsenal Semi-Auto MP44 Replica made out of a HK93 Auction # 138175512 I just don't know, would these ever pass at a reenactment? The Diva Arsenal Mp-44 is a reenactor made item. It is still a work in progress but is coming along well.
A few more cosmetic changes and it will be pretty nice - and the maker knows what needs to be done.

Ah, he must be getting rid of a prototype. Granted it is better than wrapping a AK clone in burlap and saying it is an MP. I look forward to seeing a finished one, it just struck me as weird that I found these 2 on the same day. Christian

The grip and trigger guard do need work. After that it would be pretty decent.
I would like to see them keep working on this project. It has a lot of potential.

This weapon was allowed at the March 2009 "Delay the Inevitable" even though the trigger/grip assembly was not correct for testing purposes. I believe it functioned very nicely .. although they should have a 10 round plug for reenactors to be limited to 30 rounds. (40 rounds of .223 in the current version)

Will a standard M200 5.56 mm blank cycle an HK93? May be some disappointed reenactors if not.

Contact Dixieflyer here on the forum. I don't think there is a web site.
Chrism106, HK rifles tend to not feed the M-200 round well unless modified. I have no idea if these have been modified or not.

Robb Actually I own an HK 93. The round feeds fine when cycling by hand, but I've read its not powerful enough to cycle the action. May just be rumor...

The Germans use a plastic blank similar in shape to the M200A1 Second from right www.conjay.com/2018%205.56mm%20NATO%20USA,%20Germany,%20Serbia.jpg Removal of the roller locking system along with a few other modifications to the bolt/carrier works well. A new bolt would be needed to go back with live ammo. Robb

For that price it might be worth it to wait until the SSD MP44's hit the US. They will sometime. In any case it seems pretty high priced for a tricked out HK93 clone.

I hate to be a class 3 snob but just like the MP-40 once a semi cheap version came out now everybody has one. Same thing with the MG-42 and MG-34. Enough already! Not everyone can own a Ferrari so goes with machine guns. I do understand the reasons for semi's however. It just cheapens the feel for us poor guys who own the real machine guns.

I think their is a guy in WI that supposedly has imported the SSD weapons and is using the appropriate number of parts to make it "legal" . There is some info about that on another thread on the forum. Not endorsing or know anything just passing scuttlebutt and being a rumor monger. Back to the topic, couldn't the price be lowered a bit? A clone HK 93 is about $1500. $2000 to turn it into a MP44/93 seems a bit much. TJ

would that be buy the rifle then pay $2000 for it to be done or pay $2000 for the whole rifle? Cause Ill say this, if its the first one, we are better off waiting until they come out with the semi auto version.

Hey, last time I looked, this was still supposedly a capitalist country. (At least for a little longer.) She can charge whatever she wants, and the market can bear. If it is too much, don't buy it. Simple as that.

But with a lower price more might be sold that is all I am saying. Of course if you sell one for a million $$ then you can quit or sell for a more reasonable price and sell a pile of them. She ought to post some information on the forum. I doubt most reenactors have any idea about the rifle's existence. She has done a great job so far. TJ

TJ, true, but I am sure she has her logic in her pricing, she is not new to this business. Actually, they have been quite heavily advertised, just not on this board. I'm sure she has her reasons for that as well being the seasoned reenactor of multiple periods for a few decades.
