I found a private collection of 99th infantry photos. They seem to be just in training, but it is interesting that their are some W/ camo hbts. Any comments?

There are a lot of pictures of units with camouflage HBTs stateside that never used them overseas. The pictures I have seen are often of units taking part in maneuver exercises.

Great pics,neat album.
Do you think that those were taken While at Camp Maxey?
The Checkerboard Division didn't hit Europe until November of '44 so by then the lessons had been learned the hard way by the units that did wear the camo HBTS during the Normandy campaign.
Again neat pics!

The 63rd had them in late summer of 44. They also lose them before they hit Europe.

There were notes on the back that said Camp Maxey 42, so I believe they were, but some were dated 44 so the could have been elsewhere .
