This has very good WWII footage from both sides in it. The only problem is the interviews are in French but well worth the 11 minutes it takes to watch. Unmissable footage of French Commandos training then landing on D-Day (attached to No4 Cdo). Interviews with L/Cpl G Bollore and Lord Lovat with Bill Millin piping across Pegasus Bridge www.dailymotion.com/video/x2tyfa ... n_politics

Very nice, thanks for sharing. This was a documentary made for the 25th anniversary of D-Day (1969). I recall the narrators voice even, while I do not remember his name, he narrated a bunch of war documentaries during the '60s and 70's. This gives me flashbacks of sitting in my grandparent's tv room and watching these shows and countless reruns with them.
There indeed are a few shots of French 4th Commandos, in training and a good march past. One brief scene of 4 guys carrying a wounded man, I think the two in front may also be French commandos, can't see enough of their tabs/flashes though. There is a good flying view of Ouistreham and the beach there, very close to where the French commandos landed. The first man being interviewed (the one with the glasses) was a veteran French commando. Lord Lovat can speak decent French too, that I never knew. Basically they're recounting what was going on, what they did, what they wore, and the emotions of the day and so forth.
I also noticed some SAS/paras troops in several scenes too.
