That runs the gamut there doesnt it...HBT, Daisy Mae, Overseas and Jeep...plus, look at the guy with the daisy mae sitting on the top of his head...receding hairline!
the Itilian guy withthe mustache holding the corner of the flag doesnt have a six pack either!
Nice find Charlie!

You sure that first pic is period? It looks like every re-enacting unit I have ever seen...some big some small some short some tall...Great photos Martin! Proof positive that even the heaftier guys had a place... Charlie, That first pic looks like it might be the 517. The preponderance of jump boots makes me think so :)I really like the second pic, it really shows the gamut of uniforms and people. Boy, that guy that is standing up in the center of the picture, his 43's are really, really green arent they? Nice set of pics Charlie, you mind posting a link to the website you got them from?

Really cool pics Charlie, even reminds me that they DID have color in the 1940's!
I had to do a double take with the 6th one down (c-34).
I could have sworn that at first it was a still from Kelly's Heros. Looks like Clint Eastwood as Kelly.
Neat stuff, thanks for sharing the link.

I'll take a shot at it, the first one, the LT with the girl. My first thought was Tom Hanks, younger, like Bosom Buddies period, ( that was a show on TV Charlie, before your time.....he dressed up like a woman a lot.)
In a different note what is going in in the last one? Looks like some sort of processing center?

Looks to me like the boys have reason enough beside tooth powder and smokes to go to the PX with who is behind the counter!
Man the other shots sure of make the war look, well I hate to say it, but enjoyable. The times best remembered I am sure.
