I have aquired several orginal negatives from an aunt, including some taken of and by my uncle that was in the war. Has anyone had period negatives reploduced?? the first few I had done they did by the conact process and they quality flat out sucks. Some of the shots are really really good and I would like to see the details. Anyone done this and what steps did you take???
thanks Mike

My sister is big into the old B&W photos, and she says that they wont go bad. You can reproduce negatives as many times as you want. Just take them to some one who specializes in B&W photos, not a 1 hour photo. But yes you can get them reprinted.

I understand there's some software available (can't recall the name) that allows you to scan the negatives then make prints from the scans. Saves time and work in the darkroom, breathing in all those fumes from the "soup."

I have scanned over 1100 WWII negs from my grandfathers collection. It is easy to do and after you put them on a CD and take them to the 1 hour place and its just like digital cameras they print it right out
