Is it my imagination, or do some of those M-41 Parson's jackets look like they're made out of wool?
Noticed the writing on the helmet at lower right; "D-o-r-a"
How many shirts is that guy wearing? Looks like he's wearing his entire wardrobe: 1. t-shirt; 2. wool shirt; 3. HBT jacket; and 4. M41 jacket

lil Beav I will see if I have a good photo of a ETO jacket and sent it to you.
For any other people that don't know about them....
If anyone has US Army Uniforms of World War II by Shelby Stanton, there are photos of "ETO jackets" on pages, 20, 21, 36, 85, 87, and 182
From US Army Uniforms of World War II by Shelby Stanton, page 36

Also, does anybody out there still repro the ETO Jacket? I heard these were issued to the 29th Rangers, and since that is an impression I am going for, it would be cool to have one.

I have a photo of an airman wearing an ETO jacket...I guess people tried to get ahold of them anyway they could because they were considerably warmer.
I would also be interested in a repro jacket.
And PS what belt is that guy in the helmet second from the right wearing?

I have seen photos of airforce guys wearing them.
Someone does make a repop ETO jacket, I think WPG. I know I saw them someplace....
Blake, the guy has a roller-bar-belt. The shiny part is the buckel, and the part on the right is the end of the belt sticking out. Thats why it looks strange.

He's wearing the m1926 life belt. There is one sitting out to his left as well.

Some of the jackets worn by the AAF were british battle dress jackets with American patches and stuff on them. That's one of the places Ike got the idea for the "Ike Jacket".

I found a guy who's making them, US Army world war two (ww2,wwii) uniform ETO jacket: This is a hybrid between the British BDU and M41 jacket. It is made in the correct wool and lining. Please specify while ordering. Price US$ 83 (UK Pounds 45, Euro 71) custom tailored, door delivered. www.replicaters.com/ww2usarmyuniforms.htmlsanjaysuri@satyam.net.in

The painted helmets are very interesting. The GI standing upper left has a camo pattern, the guy with the lift belt seems to have a stripe painted up the center of the helmet and the helmet on the hood of the jeep looks like it has a cross painted on it.

Where were you jokers interested in ETO jackets a couple of years ago? Jerry had a ton of them that he couldn't get rid of. By the way the guy in the back has a full house. Mike

Mike Of course he had a ton, in size 40-50R! Nobody makes repros of ANYTHING in my size. Even the ETO jacket wasn't reproduced in a 34R or even a 36R.

I usually wear a 38R, so I feel your pain, but I can sorta swing a 40.
And oldmp, if I was into it as heavily as I am now back then, I would've bought one! If there's any lying around anywhere I'd still buy one.
