My grandad Art Lloyd was a Major in the Signal Corps. during WWII while his son was a SSgt. in the Air Corps. (tail gunner - B-17's). Art was a cameraman in the motion picture industry before and after the war. I've been looking for this photo for sometime. Thought I'd share. This was taken July 1946 where he and others filmed the Bikini Atoll atomic bomb blast. fototime.com/6EC0AD15446A04F/orig.jpg

Is he the one in the coveralls and parachute?? Very neat pic.... I figure he’s the one in the chute. Now the question is are they in an airplane or a bunker? Tim Be damned good and glad I can't post links to Playboy or I'd show you a Bikini Atoll. Scott "Everyday uniform wear," only the Air Corp would call a Nuke Blast every day. Wife "What did you do today dear?” husband "Detonated a nuke like every other day.” wife "That's nice dear." Jim

Tim
WOW, I've seen several of your grandads movies on saturday morning as a kid. The back drop of the Our Gang films make for fantastic understanding of living conditions, furniture, and architecture leading up to WWII. Your granddads works give reenactors things to think about in terms of language and first person child hood development only equaled by the old Bowery Boys films.

Thanks Barrelhunter. Agreed that the backdrops in those old films present great glimpses into the way people lived in those day's. I wish I could have been there!
