the marine is my opa( german for grandpa) who was a german immigrant. i posted the pic, because the pic next to that is his oldest brother, who stayed in germany. he fought in the pacific.

Did your Grandpa and his brother survive the war sorry for the personal question. If they did do you know if they met after the war or did both stay in America and Germany.

they both survived the war, another brother, hienrich, was killed in action in the luftwaffe along with a cousin who was also in the panzer corps(he is in some of the pictures). After the war they never spoke. my grandfather was not proud of his german heritage because of what happened in the war. he'd probaly roll over in his grave if he saw me in a SS uniform.
