Amazing photos. I always think of World War Two as a black and white war so to see color and sharp perfect color photos it is just mind blowing thanks for all of the links

Woah. I almost want to believe that those photos aren't that old.. but they're over 60+ Years in age.

I'd hazard a guess that these photos were shot on kodachrome color film, which, at the time was ASA 25 -- slow, but it had wonderful color saturation (as seen in the pictures).
