Extra pockets seem to be a 506th "must" as well.
The leg ties for 101st were different.

There are no T-5 chutes (FAA)certified to jump with. The ADT uses surplus Army "modified" chutes (ie MC1-1B/C canopies). Often members will have the pack tray, and other parts modified to resemble the T-5, but that is as close as you are going to get. Everything else on the rig is modern. Since you have a few years to go before you need to worry about those details, I would suggest, funds available, you consider a reproduction for display and consider selling it when your old enough to get the real deal.
Cheers Mike

FAA Rules prevent the use of natural fibers on air items. Thus, even a 100% accurate repro or original T-5 would not be legal to use for jumping.
Besides, why jump a 28' flat circular canopy with canopy first deployment when you can jump a 35' parabolic with pilot chute assisted direct bag deployment?
Authenticity is one thing, safety is another!
