The color does make it look Vietnam-ish. It's amazing how little the color process changed between those times. Which makes me wonder if there's a book of color photos from Korea...

Yeah neat to see the stock removed, you don't see it much but I bet a lot of tankers did it to better fit in the tank.

thanks for posting the photos Beav.
The Pic of the GI and the liberated prisoners- he has a M1903A3 a common rifle issued to other than front line troops. I have an uncle who was with the Railroad Battalions in the ETO and that was his issue weapon.
Color sure makes the war come alive.
